John Schmelzle - Equity Services

John is the Director of Acquisitions for RealSource Equity Services. His primary role is to source new multi-family investments for RSES.

Prior to joining RealSource in May 2006 he was a multi-family broker for Hendricks & Partners, one of the nation’s largest apartment sales and research firms.

John has been involved in over $250 million of multi-family brokerage and acquisition transactions. His experience includes a variety of product types including market rate apartment properties, new development utilizing the HUD 221d4 program, student housing, senior housing, Section 8 and Section 42 Tax Credit Properties, single and multi-tenant industrial and retail projects and non-performing note sales.

John has an extensive background in valuation analysis and complex financial modeling of income producing properties and has experience in many of the nations largest housing markets across the country as well as several secondary and tertiary markets.

John holds a degree in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate and International Business from Western Michigan University. He is a currently a CCIM candidate and a licensed Real Estate Broker.
