Senior VP Acquisitions & Economics
Mike started with RealSource in 2005, participating in investor workshops around the nation with the National Association of Real Estate Investors, as well as analyzing multifamily properties and doing economic due diligence for RealSource. Today he is a senior vice president at RealSource directing the economics department and helping lead the acquisitions team. He has sourced and lead negotiations on over $200M in multifamily transactions in over 6 states. He specializes in macroeconomics, underwriting, multifamily fundamentals, capital markets, real estate cycles, and applying econometrics to track data and trends for 160 MSA’s across the U.S for RealSource's Target Market econometric model.
Mike is passionate about real estate investing and understanding what key indicators will drive local real estate cycles in the years ahead to help identify target markets for acquisitions and preparing insight and data for each of RealSource's offerings. He holds a real estate license in the State of Utah and is active in the local CCIM chapter. He attended Westminster College in Salt Lake City where he completed the Bachelor of Business Administration program. He also previously studied economics and business at the University of Utah. Outside of the office he enjoys spending time outdoors with friends, his wife, and two young daughters.
